Just purchased the 860v3 (paired w/ SuperFeet inserts) and took them for a spin this morning. I have traditionally liked the NB brand of running shoes (2 previous purchases of the 760 model) because of width options and build quality. Found the 860v3 to be very solid running shoes with plenty of support and cushion. I did notice some heel slippage during a sprint at the last leg of my run but coughed this up to new shoe brake-in and lace loosening. While a slight bit on the heavy side when compared with the new trend of lighter/forefoot striking shoes I'm happy with the 860v3 model.

the stability feature of this shoe is no joke. I do walk and run a little funny and I think this feature really helps me but it took some getting used to. The first couple runs (usually 3 miles) really hurt. Once I got used to the shoe and broke it in a little better, it has been awesome. I have only put 50 miles on this pair and they show no signs of wear yet. I'm not sure if the painful adjustment phase had to do with breaking in the new shoes or that harsh stability bit, but it was rough for a few days. Anyway, don't be discouraged if they hurt you on the first outing, I love mine now that they are broken in and I'm used to them
