Most sure footed cross country shoe

I did my first Spartan Ultra Beast in these. I was over whelmed the difference in traction these shoes offer. I beat the heck out of the shoes washed them off and they look good as new. I totally recommend these.

Cheaper at Dick's Sporting Goods

This probably won't get published. The product is extremely comfortable and I have received many favorable comments about the product. The Nike Free run shoes are $79.99 with free shipping from Dick's Sporting Goods. In store or on line...same price. I am finding that Amazon doesn't always have the best price and it is important to be a prudent shopper and compare prices.

Great Shoe - Novice Runner

I am not a hard core runner but love being active. I primary ride road bikes. I picked these up for triathlon training (I will also be using these for races) and love them. I run from 2-4 miles each run and average about 6 miles a week. They feel amazing. In fact they don't really feel much at all, I guess that's the point of such a light shoe.The color is definitely me but can be too much, and others have referred to them as very loud. :) no problem with me. They keep cars from running me over:)Bottom line: recommended to friends without hesitation.

Product Description

Let your feet follow their natural instinct in the Merrell Sonic Glove. This men's barefoot running shoe features a textile upper for breathability. The microfiber footbed it treated with Aegis antimicrobial solution to resist odor. Merrell Omni-Fit lacing provides a precise, glove-like fit. A 4mm compression molded EVA midsole cushions, while the 1mm forefoot shock absorption plate maintains forefoot flexibility and protects the foot by distributing pressure. This Merrell barefoot shoe also has a Vibram Trail Glove TC-1 rubber outsole. Less is definitely more with the Merrell Sonic Glove.

Trail Glove vs. Sonic Glove

I bought this shoe after my Trail Gloves were completely worn down after a couple hundred miles of trail running, and pavement running and walking. I purchased these for more barefoot pavement running. Perhaps this is because my Trail Gloves were completely worn down, but I noticed right away that there is much more shoe to the Sonic Glove. The top is not mesh, so it is a little more stiff and they don't breath as well as the Trail Glove, and the sole felt much more solid. I was expecting these to fit just like my Trail Gloves, but the break-in period was more difficult on my feet, even more so than the initial break-in period for my Trail Gloves. For a week and a half the right heel dug into my leg, and I could not wear these shoes unless I taped up the back of my heel. I found this odd just because the frame is so similar to the Trail Glove. Once I got past the break in period the shoes really began to feel great. I put a 25 mile run in mostly on pavement and some trail, and my feet and legs felt fine. Perhaps this is because my barefoot shoes were worn down so much, but I really felt that this shoe felt more like a "normal" sole rather than a barefoot sole.

great shoes

lots of arch support and ankle support are bad for your feet - all they do is weaken them and make you dependent on overly supportive shoes. i hike and run in these shoes, when its a little too wet out for vibram 5-fingers. these shoes hug your feet like ninja ballet shoes.

It took me about 3 runs to break these shoes in, and now I love to wear them! I bought a 1/2 size smaller, as I prefer not to wear socks with them, and they have been awesome! I'm hooked!

NIce shoe, consider ordering 1/2 size larger

Except for the size, the show works fine, according to my teenage son, who is using these in the 100m, 200m and 400m. Consider ordering a 1/2 size larger than you normally would. Other than that, my son likes the style and fit once he got a larger size.

Was looking for a comfortable, water proof shoe with a relatively low profile. After trying out a similar pair by ECCO, I returned them and got these instead. They accomplished everything I was looking for, very comfortable out of the box, needed a bigger size (9.5 as opposed to 8.5-9). The lacing system is different, but does allow for a good tight fit. Good choice all around.

Quite comfy.

I'm sure as of this writing, everybody who has bought a pair here did so as a Gold Box deal last week. For that price ($35), I cant imagine getting better shoes. They are running shoes, but I mostly use them for walking, lol. As with most Skecher running shoes I've bought in the past, these have a slight angle that helps with pronating, which most Americans at least, tend to do (walking with feet pointing out rather than forward). They are super bouncy on the inside, which is to say, they have lots of cushion. The blue and orange pair I bought also looks really nice IMO, and the addition of an extra set of laces (one white, one blue) is a nice added bonus. Anyway, I've worn them for two days now and am quite happy with them. For me, these shoes tend to last about 6 months with daily wear or longer if you own many pairs of shoes and alternate. If this changes, I will update this review.

nice shoes, watch the size

These are pretty nice shoes. I wore them once for an hour or so and that's all because sketchers seem to run small compared to other brands. I'd recommend buying a half size up.

Great Product, AMAZING speed and customer service

The first pair we received was too small. Issued a return claim and received the second pair within 3 days. (Same shipping time as the original) It's a Skecher, of course it's a great product.Order a half size bigger than you think. My biggest dote here is on the speed of delivery and the ease of exchange....definately recommended !!!!! AAAA+
