Feet, meet feel. Please note: The PureDrift was designed with a wider toe box than other Brooks shoes. If you prefer a more snug fit, size down half a size. I have been a fan of Nike Frees for years. As of late, their quality and comfort have seemed to go down hill. I decided to try these Brooks.Pros:LightweightFlexibleNice cushionCons:High back, rubs achillesAll in all, a good shoe. I think I will get used to the high back. The rest of the shoe makes up for it.

These shoes are really comfortable and allow you to flex the forefoot. I found that I needed to buy 1/2 size larger than what I normally wear for all my other Brooks running shoes. The sole is made of really light material (almost styrofoam-looking) and the longevity of the shoe is rated for 200-300 miles rather than the typical 500 miles. In going from the other Brooks shoes to these minimalist shoes, my cadence did improve.

These are remarkably light weight and yet give the support needed for everyday use. I walk the dog twice a day and literally wear my shoes until they're bald. These feel great until they can't go another mile. I have actually ordered another pair just like these. Love them!
