I bought my first pair of Salmon shoes "Salomon Men's XA Comp 7 Trail Running Shoe" because of the lace system. At 63 I have apparently lost the ability to tie my shoes so that they stay tied all day - go figure. This shoe was recommended by my son who uses them as Tactical running shoes (Law Enforcement) because the do not come unlaced - EVER. I wanted to try other shoes of this brand and bought the "Salomon Men's Kowloon Shoe, Pearl Grey/Deep Blue/Organic Green,10 M US" I was exceptionally pleased. They were lighter and more comfortable than the running shoes. Not quite as durably made, but I just use them for walking around the house and neighborhood. I have since purchased a second pair as a backup - I find that if I find something I really like, I can never get that exact thing again. They are also less expensive than the actual running shoe (also mighty comfortable). They almost feel like house slippers, but are stylish enough for public appearances. --
