Perfect shoes - almost

I love these shoes. They are well made, fit my feet perfectly, they are light and well styled - and they are made in US, which I really like.My only beef with these shoes are the laces! When all laced up, the ends are 19" long. Why in the worlddo they equip them with such long laces? Nobody needs 19" to tie their shoe! Subsequently I need to tripletie my shoes in order to not stumble over the long, dangling ends. Not very smart, if you ask me.

Like sliding my foot into a cloud.

This is a very comfortable shoe. It breathes well, as I have not noticed any sweating, which I have noticed with many other shoes I have recently owned. Also, it is nice to know that these shoes were made here in the U.S.A. Even if it is just a marketing exploit, it keeps at least some jobs where they are supposed to be. I would recommend these shoes to anyone.

American made is the way to go

I've bought shoes made in China, Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia...etc I've bought Rbk, Nike, Asics but nothing has left me as satisfied as these shoes. But it is not just the M996 alone that makes it a great product. It is the fact that it was made in the United States. You can feel the quality and also a sense of pride wearing them. I think I'm hooked for the rest of my life to pay a little more for a LOT more. It is worth the extra money. Good job New Balance! Your priorities are in line! I highly recommend these shoes or atleast similiar shoes made in the US!
