Read SKORA's website. They really mean it when they say they have put a lot a work into these shoes. They're amazing. Not too long to break them in, and I've noticed a considerable difference in my running style. I use them mainly for running in triathlon training, but they're sleek enough to fit perfectly in the foot cages of my bike.I was reluctant about the velcro straps, feeling I wouldn't get the perfect fit. I was wrong. the shoes fit perfectly. Recommend getting a half size smaller. I usually wear a 10, and 9.5 fits perfect. I highly recommend this shoe, especially if you don't want to drop the almost $200 for the SKORA Form. These will not disappoint.

I love these running shoes...comfortable, perfect fit (selected 1/2 size smaller based on previous reviews).I love the lightweight feel and solid sole as I am running.This is my first pair of SKORA...but they wouldn't be my last!

The bottoms (outside) of the soles are harder than I'd expected, which is good. I was concerned about protection from little stones or whatever. I do find it most comfortable to wear thin socks with these shoes. In my case, since I normally would wear compression sleeves anyway, I wear full compression socks when running with the Skoras.The minimalist / barefoot style is definitely harder on the calves (at least in my case), due to the front-foot strike. But with the heel strike running that I used to do, it would take me the first mile or so for little pains to come and go in the ankles and knees before it felt like the body was 'adjusted' enough to carry on without issue.I have absolutely zero ankle / knee issues with the Skoras, and that has me sold on the barefoot / minimalist style of running. I've been working up slowly (I think my first time with the Skoras I ran 1/2 mile or so and had to stop at that point for the calves). This morning I did 5 miles with that front-foot strike and felt great.The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I sometimes do feel the plastic rectangle on the top center of the shoe where the straps cross. I definitely don't feel it all the time. I do expect that I'll buy Skoras in the future, and when I do I'll definitely consider the ones with laces. But overall I *really* like these!
