Asics Gel Cirrus 33

These shoes are amazing! I am 38 years old and i weigh 200 pounds. I run about 30,miles a week. Over the last year my right foot has been giving me problems. Ive tried just about every shoe within the last year. I have had extensive use of the Brooks Glycerin 9, Nike Zoom Vomero 6, Saucony Triumph 8 and 9, and even the Asics Gel Kinsei 4. Bar none, the Asics Gel Cirrus33 is the most amazing shoe. In addition to being a super plush ride, these shoes are surprisingly lightweight. Dont be surprised if you find youself adding distance to your run in these shoes.

Very Comfortable

I'll get straight to the point....the Cirruss33 are comfortable shoes. I was looking for a pair of Asics to replace my good 'ol Nimbus running shoes. I saw the Cirruss13 on Amazon and made the purchase. When I received my shoes, it took a couple of days to get use to them... the back of the shoes were very stiff inside and "plastic" outside. You will know what I mean if you choose to buy them. As I mentioned, after a couple of days, the shoes were feeling great and comparable to my favorite Nimbus pairs. The construction is pretty good and padding inside makes you feel as if you are walking on clouds. Other than that plastic feel and look towards the back of the shoes.....I really like the Cirruss13!

So Far, Best Running Shoe Ever

I originally bought these in 11M because I always found Asics to run a 1/2 size small like New Balance & others. They do not run small & were a little large. I ordered a 10.5M to compare & in the search for perfection. I'm glad I did, these running shoes are as close to perfection as I've found since I started running in the late 1970's. They support well while providing incredible shock absorption. They wear remarkably well for their weight & comfort. I pronate & usally wear out my shoe bottoms within a couple of months with New Balance, Brooks et al. Not with these, they hardly show any sole wear over the same period but have babied my knees and diminished my plantar fascia issues. There might be a small speed penalty to be paid with such a high level of cushioning but I ain't running the 100m dash. These are great training shoes that both support & encourage one to run hard & far with confidence. I love to put them on & have grown to like the loud black/white/red color that was much cheaper than the other choices. I don't think I could get a better shoe if I had them custom made.

Best ride I ever had from a running shoe.

I am a 25 to 30 mile a week runner, I was a loyal (any) running shoe fan, But decided to give Brooks a shot after my wife was such a fan.... I wear neutral shoes so I thought changing shoes would not be a big deal. So my first pair of Brooks I purchased the Ghost 3,I ran in these for about 6-7 months going through 2 pair seem like a great shoe light and felt great. Then I purchased the update which was the Ghost 4 and I immediately noticed the difference, did not feel the same as the Ghost 3 .... Not to be critical of the Ghost 4 model but, my feet had comformed to the Ghost 3 and the change was noticeable. I decided to look for a couple of pair of the Ghost 3 to buy could not find my size ....I went to a running store to try on different shoes to try and get that feel again of the Ghost 3, after trying on different brands I tried on the Glycerin 9 by Brooks and this was the greatest feeling shoe I had ever tried on...Any avid runner will know what feeling I had because it was almost therapeutic. I know this is my experience and may not translate to anyone else but, if you are looking for the best ride you ever had in a neutral running shoe the Glycerin 9 is the shoe for you. Comfortable for P90X and Insanity workouts. Arches don't hurt.

Insanity and P90X workouts require lots of jumping in every direction. The main reason why I bought these over other Brooks and Nikes was because of the front cushion that almost all shoes under $85 don't have. My arches were killing me doing Insanity and now they don't. There are many other positives including long shoe-life, comfort, breatheablity, etc that other reviews say.Highly recommend to friends and family.

Best shoe I have ever owned

I put these shoes through some abuse and they are hands down best shoe for me. I will start with a little bit about me. I am 5'6, 170lbs, 8.5 shoe size, an 11:20 mile and a half, I have P.F, regular archs, with heel spurs and under pronantion. I took a huge risk buying these shoes before Officer Candidate School (OCS) but I did a lot of research and these shoes kept popping up so I bought them with a pair of Asics. In OCS we run about 20 miles a week and go through very intense training. I wore these the first 8 weeks and all of my aches and pains were gone, it was like running on clouds. I liked them so much that I'm buying another pair. They were slightly heavier then the Asics but they were more comfortable and durable.

The Spring/Summer 2012, 9th edition of the ASICS GEL-DS Racer sees the weight fall to just 210 grams and despite this being a lightweight racer, the shoe still maintains its supportive and cushioning properties. The Magic Sole is an excellent addition to the shoe which offers great breathability through a vented sole which not only ensures your foot stays dry and comfortable but also by removing rubber, the shoe is made even more lightweight, enhancing your performance further.

Excellent shoe, better than road glove for road running!

I love this shoe! It has a little bit more lateral stability for running than the road glove, which makes it ideal for running on light to moderate trails or playing sports like basketball. The sole is identical to the road glove though so you will still get all the flexibility and excellent road feel. I also love that this has less heel cushioning than the road glove so it feels more stable. Very lightweight and the upper is highly breathable. Is does have a very thin liner though just like the trail glove, unlike the pure mesh upper of the road glove or the non-breathable sonic glove. The upper is also very flexible like the trail glove, much more so than the flux glove (non sport model) and sonic glove. I have tried many of the glove shoes and if I had to pick only one it would be this. The trail glove is great for the trails but is not great for the road or even heavily groomed trails. The sonic glove is not flexible enough, although waterproof. I would highly recommend this shoe! I must admit I found it for a lower price at sierra trading post though.

So far so good

First time I've ever had a pair of barefoot style shoes (can't do the ones with the toes. Just can't). They fit really well and the toe box is very comfortable. I have periodic problems with my knees and joints and I've read that many people have experienced relief when using this type of shoe.As of this review I've only worn them to one bootcamp class. If you've never worn this type of shoe for exercise, they do take a bit of getting used to. Also, don't be surprised if you get cramps in your feet at first. It took me a few rounds to work them out but after that they were fine. They have great traction and they breathe very well.I hope they are as good as they seem. I will update after a few more weeks.

Lightweight... comfortable... great as an everyday sneaker, too. Well made and can be thrown in the washing machine to clean. Just don't put in the dryer cuz it will curl and shrink! It will air dry fast.

A Trusstic System reduces the weight of the sole unit while retaining the structural integrity of the shoe. The Dynamic Duomax features a multi-rigid shape to help with over-pronation and consists of two different density midsole materials to provide smooth overpronation control. A ComforDry Sockliner provides the optimum cushioning performance system that creates cooler, drier and a healthier shoe environment. A 3M Reflective material improves the footwear visibility when running in low-level lighting. A slip last gives you a lightweight and flexible feel while a propulsion plate in the sole provides superb stability in the forefoot and offers flexibility for additional comfort. A guidance line consists of vertical flex grooves that decouple the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency. AHAR+ is a thinner and lighter version of ASICS high abrasion rubber which is placed on heavy contact areas of the outsole to reduce excessive wear. Both Forefoot and Rearfoot GEL systems are also utilised in these shoes in order to give you the optimal shock absorption. GEL units are strategically placed in the midsole and are designed to enable specific functions and positions.

Interesting difference in size

My first pair(s) of the Noosa Tri was the Tri 6,and I must confess I bought them initially for their killer looks but they turned out to be another great ASICS running shoe as well.. Couldn't wait to get my hands on these when I saw them on Amazon.Now, All my ASICS are size 12 and no matter what model they all fit the same. So these were a bit of a shock when they arrived.My first impression was that they are a bit more shallow in the forefoot therefore making them much more of a "snug" fit and they don't seem to have the same length in the forefoot as all my other size 12s including my Tri 6 models. ( I think that my big toes would endure a fair bit of grief if I actually decided to do some big mileage in them.) The Tri 6 was made on the same last as the DS Trainer 16 -which was a combination last- but these appear to have been done on a slip last and this may be part is what's behind my perception of the 8s being noticeably different.So I would suggest that if you are thinking of getting a pair of these you might want to consider going up a half or full size more than what you would normally buy. Apart from those two points I still think they are a great shoe but I just can't give them my usual 5 stars.Now Having said all that, I do intend to buy another pair, especially in this colour, but I will step up one size to a 13 which will give me that little bit of extra length and comfort in the forefoot.

Light, comfy, wear well

I have tried many brands and styles of running shoes before finally landing and sticking with the Blade Lights. Definitely a good neutral shoe and holes in sole are awesome at allowing moisture out during long course triathlons. This is pair 3 and will stick with this model unless they make some stupid change in the future

Very comfortable shoes, they fit me at first without problem.I have worn them since I opened the box they were in. Your feet feel ventilated anytime.I highly recommend these running shoes without doubt.
