Life Is Too Short To Wear Cheap Shoes

Like all Ecco shoes, these fit my feet perfectly. I ordered the Trail Shoes because I walk 5 miles every day, over hill and dale, gravel, concrete, uneven pavement... I need a good quality shoe with plenty of support; I weigh 265 lbs and I'm hard on shoes. I think Trail Shoes are designed to better handle abuse than, say, your average pair of sneakers or running shoes. I put over 500 hard miles on my last pair before finally wearing the heels down. I like everything about this new pair. They feel good and are very comfortable as I walk. They breathe well, look casual nice, and hopefully will last as long as my previous pair.

So long Rockport?

My job requires me to be standing and walking for more than 12 hours a day. I have been wearing Rockport walking shoes for more than 20 years and they have served me wonderfully. I bought these ECCO shoes because I wanted something more stylish to wear on a family vacation trip and I LOVE THEM. They are a perfect fit, extremely comfortable, and they look great. A great purchase.

I bought these shoes specifically for a trip to Europe and they performed perfectly. I never had sore feet, even hiking around mountains with a big pack. They dried out quickly when I got them wet and never got stinky.

best shoes ever, but PLEASE NOTE...

My second pair. The original aquas are the ONLY shoes I have ever had that I can wear all day ever day without feeling like my feet get fatigued and it would be a relief to change my shoes. It all started years ago when I saw a friend wearing terra plana's in NYC, and then went to the store, where these were on sale. I have the runners also, which are good for running, but the aqua is the best thing that has ever been on my feet, and I believe many parts of my body are healthier due to the 'barefoot' effects. I am very active and kinesthetically trained, so I believe this is real.HOWEVER: Do ease into them if it's your first barefoot-style shoe. I wore them only every other day or so for about the first 4-6 weeks. after that it was all gravy and I've never looked back. Now I just want them to bring back better color choices. My fear is that the aqua is going to get phased out and replaced with cheaper, less-engineered models. This is what the Aqua Lite looks like to me. The Aqua has amazing venting and flex, but requires a lot of pieces and stitching and materials. It is a work of perfection and beauty and will therefore probably disappear as the company grows and rides the reputation shoes like the aqua created. That is the norm.

Forgot I had new shoes on

I've been running ASICS since I began my running career. I've tested other brands at running group events but have stuck with what has been working for me. Amazon had this pair in stock even though it wasn't available at my local running store. After a few miles on my first run I forgot I had a new pair on. Keeping my focus on the run and away from my feet is ultimately the goal of the shoes. The reflective color is a nice addition for the many night-time runs I will be heading out for this fall. This purchase was a success.

Great shoes!

This is my third pair of ASICS Gel-Nimbus shoes. These are awesome because they glow in the dark and are super reflective (great for night running!). The 15s also seem to be a good upgrade from the 14s. I've run about 20 miles in them and so far so good. Side note: the product photos are of the Gel-Cumulus, not the Nimbus. Just be aware of that error when buying. You will get the described product.

Best Running Shoes I've owned

A little about me, I'm a regular runner, cover 5 miles 2 or 3 times a week, 6'2 190 lbs with high arches and narrow feet. I have tried most of the New Balance, Nike, Adidas running shoes atleast once and I must say the very first time I put on these Asics, it was like heaven! I am a mid-foot striker so I like a lot of fore-foot cushioning and most shoes seem to load all the cushioning in the heel, not these Asics. My only con would be that I need one more eyelet to keep the shoe firmly in place for me (very narrow heels). I've had these for a little over a month and have seen no drop off in cushioning or ride. I do have some after market insoles that I always use and swap out every 6 weeks. For bigger guys with high arches, I couldn't think of a better shoe.

Not as good as previous version- great for walking but not running

I've been buying ASICS for years. Recently I replaced an older Cumulus pair with these and I have to say I don't like them as much. They feel heavy and awkward. Does it have anything to do with the "wide" sole under the heel?Also, the back upper edge of the shoe is weird- very hard and not comfortable. The cushioning seems focused on the heel. I'm looking for a shoe that cushions the front of the foot- arch forward. Anyone have a suggestion?That said, it is very comfortable as a walking shoe but it is not comfortable for running. I would never pay this much for a walking shoe.

Not the best, but I still love them!

I am 6'-6" and 240lbs and run marathons....Its easy for me to flatten a normal cushioning shoe and wear it out fast. I did however get 425 miles out of my current ASICS CUMULUS and the tread is still nice and thick...I will however change them out as I am sure I broke the cushioning out long ago with my fat arse. I only got 300 miles out of the Saucony Hurricanes before wearing down the tread so these are better.This shoe is a bit 'soft' from what I am used to, but well cushioned. Almost like driving a Cadillac. Because of all the cushioning the shoe feel heavier and wider. However compared to a lot of other shoes I've tried, these seem to do me the best all-around comfort-wise and I like to race in these. For training I do prefer something a bit stiffer cushioning to hold up to the endless weekly mileage like the Saucony Progrid Rides and Glides.Be aware this is a neutral, cushioning shoe....not for overpronators.Someone lighter than me might not find it soft, but this review is for the heavies out there.

Great Running Shoe For Those Who Pronate

I got these shoes from the local running store for running on trails and on track (no pavement). I had no clue that I needed a "stability" shoe but believe me when I say it is amazing the difference it made on my runs! I'm in heaven!
