Sweet shoes. They do run big, and only come in half sizes, so if you're around an 8.5/9, get the 8's. Yak leather is awesome, and you feel like running/ working out. And with this price, you probably should utilize them!

Great For Flat Footed Pronators

I have run in the Brooks Addiction line since 1999 with one exception, and that was the only time I had a running injury. I am flat footed with a wide toe box, and I pronate like crazy, so this shoe fits me very well. I particularly like the current edition -- specifically the lace-up design lets me tighten the shoes around my foot very well without constricting my toes in any way. They run 1/2 to a full size small. I also like the appearance of the new line, but would love it if Brooks made some bolder color choices for this line like they do with their other shoes.

Still a great shoe.

I originally started buying the Brooks Addiction line several years ago after walking into a boutique running shoe store and spending a hour getting properly fitted for a pair or running shoes. That was probably the worst thing I could have ever done, because now I can only wear the most comfortable of shoes without balking- and these are them. The first pair I bought were Addiction 6es, and they fit like a charm. I continued to buy the Addiction line every time I needed new running shoes, but over the last few years I was forced to make due with my old worn out shoes (I know, I know, injuries and all that, but I just don't have any money), and I finally decided to just go ahead and buy a new pair, so I got these, the Addiction 10s. I tried to go to a few stores to buy locally, but no one had them in stock, and I was worried about the sizing, the last several pairs of Addictions I wore were 9.5 4E, so I ordered that size, and they were too small. Well, I called up Brooks and told them my situation (the Amazon order comes from them) and they sent me a return label such that when the post office scanned the box, the warehouse would send out a new pair (of size 10 4E). The new pair arrived quickly, the service was great, and 10 4E fits like a glove. I wish they weren't so expensive, but they are a specialized shoe and if you need these, nothing else quite cuts the mustard.

Big Guy Needs a Big Shoe

Here it is...Straight forward...I'm a big guy who needs a stable shoe with a wider toe box. This shoe has it all. Very comfortable, plenty of toe room and cushion to boot =). The only thing I can say about this is that it runs small...I have a size 15 foot and a 16 in this fits perfect. Hope this helps.

Light weight ankle support!

I have been looking for a super light weight mid shoe for some time and this fits the bill. Wide toe box and snug mid-foot fit feels good. This will be my first plunge into the minimalist area because I have very weak ankles and always had to wear hyper dunk basketball shoes or much heavier boots. Shoe go on and soon you forget you have them on. Nice aggressive but not imposing tread. I will update after I get out more on rough terrain but so far so great.

Very Comfortable

These are very light, durable, comfortable and waterproof. I bought them to replace my old Merrell Gor-Tex hiking boots. These are a light weight running shoe, but still waterproof like my boots were. I highly recommend.

Awesome boot!

I purchased these boots before a three week international trip where I would be on my feet constantly. I have previously used the Merrell barefoot runners and I wanted to try something in that line that was a bit more sturdy.The boots are well made and attractive. They provided me with incredible support and comfort. The price is high, but it was the best $$ I spent this summer. My feet are worth more than the money. I am very pleased.

Very comfortable, excellent running shoe!

I just purchased these shoes about a week ago and love them so far. They are extremely comfortable, i actually went through a couple different pairs and finally decided on these. I'm about 6"1, 260 lbs and flat footed and these are great. The fit my wide foot perfect with the breathable mesh. I typically land on my back heel and the gel supports me great, i feel almost nothing while running which is great. I would highly recommend. I'm guessing this shoe must be really new because i cant find any reviews on the net about this shoe, even the Asics website didn't list it. Also this color is VERY bright, you will be seen a mile away with these on but i wanted something bright mainly for safety reasons.

Pay $170 dollars, plus shipping for a pair of sneakers is a little retarded, but its like running in the clouds, very little impact, very comfortable, that's what matters!

So so - newer models are not holding up the ASICS name

Prior to this I had a pair of ASICS Kayano 16's that had the asymetrical lacing - they were the absolute best/most comfortable shoes I'd ever used - I'm a triage nurse and wore them nearly every day, on my feet all day (but after 8+ month I wore them out from the inside out). In looking for a replacement to that pair, I spotted the Gel-Sendai that were supposed to have even more cusion in the front and had a similar look/design. I've worn them for the last several weeks and they are not nearly as comfortable, the heel does have a good pocket but it doesn't have the Gel feel that the Kayano's had and the midsole and front is far less comfortable - feels like a low to mid quality shoe, not a high end/high $$ supportive running shoe - if asked I'd say, look at another model.

Premium athletic Shoes!!!!!

A very comfortable shoe. It also seems well made. It is a bit heavier than other running shoes I have owned, but I do not run, I bought it for walking. I am 6'6", 230lbs, it is supportive.UPDATE 2-19-13: I got new orthotics from a foot doctor and these shoes accept them perfectly. Also I have come to appreciate the construction and comfort of these shoes since I first reviewed them.I do not run, I am 61 with bad knees and one tender foot. I need stable, comfortable shoes so I can walk, and these are excellent shoes. I got them for $60 new, a great price. My size was on sale or something? I recently got another pair of white leather ones with Velcro fasteners for $30 on sale. I plan to use this brand of athletic shoes the rest of my life because they are so comfortable and stable.When the foot bed is removed to insert an arch support, there is another thinner foot bed as a base. It is not unfinished under the removable foot bed like so many shoes. This is an example of the quality of construction of these shoes. I highly recommend them.

Great value in a technical running shoe

These shoes look great. The shoes need a two day break in period, after that they're like a glove. From a technical standpoint, the shoes really help with my shin splints. The technical description says it all:The New Balance 1770 is packed with cutting-edge technologies, from its featherweight REVlite cushioning to the luxurious no-sew welded upper. N-ergy shock absorption extends beyond the crash pad into the midfoot to accommodate not only traditional heel strike runners, but also those who land on the midfoot. The performance-fit upper hugs the foot but is forgiving enough for most foot shapes, and the modified Stabilicore medial support mildly stabilizes the gait so even light overpronators can sport this neutral-cushioning shoe. Colors: Red + Grey FYI New Balance's numbering system has changed recently - anything that ends in 80 is neutral (880, 1080).70 = very mild stability so with medium arches

Great Arch and Heel Support

I walk anywhere from 15-20 miles a week in these shoes, sometimes short jogs depending upon how motivated I feel or if I'm trying to impress the random car passing by. In the past, I've had problems in my arch and heel area. If I go for an extended time without walking/jogging, I develop plantar fasciitis, which is painful enough where I hobble a few days to a week, and have to take an extended break exercising.These shoes alleviate that issue. I gained about 10 lbs. over the holidays (no exaggeration), and went out for my first 4-5 mile walk. This is typically the exact scenario that creates the plantar fasciitis flare-ups. My feet have been fine though, and since then, I've gone for about 4-5 more walks, and no pain whatsoever.I wish I bought more of these. I love finding a shoe and sticking with it. I got these for $89.99 and they are already around $107.These shoes are definitely worth it though if you suffer from heal or arch issues and don't feel like spending $200+ at a footwear specialty shop.

Good shoes, short life

These shoes are like "summer" tires; very good at what they do, but dont last long. Mine literally started falling apart after 160 miles.
