Best triathlon shoes

I love the fit and performance of these shoes! I've been using Zoots for the past 3 years and they're a perfect fit for my feet and running style. I tried the "minimalist" approach in between using Zoots and suffered foot problems, but when I switched back to Zoots, my feet were back to normal in a matter of weeks. I'll never switch again! Great shoes...I'd recommend them for anyone who competes in triathlons whether sprint, olympic, half or full IM. They run slightly small so I always get a half size larger than my actual size.

Extremely Comfortable, the fit system is way better than traditional shoe laces they gently hug your feet but also keep it tight enough for when you are sprinting or running.

Great fit and great shoes.

I use them for weightlifting and have used them for some drills on turf.The shoes are really stable but as such, lack flexibility and they're on the heavy side. Not great for performance, yet great for training, with really decent traction on turf.

Light and airy zero drop runner

These shoes are lightweight and breathable, but still supportive enough for cross-training. I take them on long runs, sprints and even max-effort deadlifts.They let your form shine through without trying to control your stride. No motion control, low arch. Nothing in the way. Heel-strikers look elsewhere.They have a moderate break-in time and may take some getting used to if you haven't run in zero drop shoes before.I love these shoes for high-intensity speed work, but they're great for distance training as well (for me, long-distance is anything over 3 miles up to about 10).They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I regularly wear them without socks and without insoles.Finally, just look at them. That's one sexy shoe!

Beautiful shoe but has issues

I'm a big guy. Size 13 shoe. But, been running 35+ years in every brand and type out there. Not new to minimalist shoes (Innov8 fan), but had a real problem with these on a short run. Developed a raging heel blister about mile 3. They seem to have deep heel cup which seems to pitch the back of the shoe to rub against the Achilles. Love the look and feel of the shoe. Would re-purchase if the heel problem were fixed.

This shoe was designed for the athlete who needs stability and wants a triathlon specific race day shoe. This is a shoe that has been developed and adapted over the last five years. The Ultra Tempo has always been known for its high performance and this is a continuation of that.The Quick Lace system has been developed specifically for triathlon footwear. Quick Lace allows you to get your shoe on faster with a single-handed pull; no straps, no laces. Due to this, the transition from T1 to T2 will be far smoother and more efficient.Whereas other shoe may feature plastic, the Tempo 5.0 utilises CarbonSpan+, a lighter, stronger material that is tuned to running. This use of CarbonSpan+ will lighten the shoe and also provide a smooth powerful toe off.For those of you needing a bit more stability than the neutral runner, a dual-density midsole has been added into Zoot stability shoes for additional support.

As always Nike makes a quality product and it is a great looking shoe. Bad part is if you have a anything but a very narrow foot don't was you time on this shoe. I am working oversea and all i have to say is thank goodness for shoe stretchers

Love Them

I purchased these from the Uk because I really like the colors and had not seen anything in Chicago similar. I will say that I thought they would we a little more vibrant but did more than meet my expectations. I'm very loyal to Asics.

Solid alternative to the DS Trainer and GT Series

For my long runs, I have used the Asics DS-Trainer and GT 21XX series over the past 10 years and the Neo33 strikes a balance between the two. It is listed as being slightly lighter than the DS Trainer and I feel that it gives a bit more of a stable ride while not being as stiff as the GT. The midfoot to forefoot transition felt slightly jerky for the first few miles but smoothed out and my legs felt fresher after the run than in either of the other two shoes. This shoe is nowhere near a minimalist shoe like a Saucony Kinvara but I liked the Neo33 so much that I have already bought a second pair to put in rotation.

Wow - What a comfortable shoe

I ordered my Asics GEL-Neo 33 on Monday Sept. 17th and shipped the same day. They arrived two days later on the 19th. My first day (Yesterday) I went for a run I was adjusting from running in a pair of Saucony Kinvara 2. Ran 4 miles and had to make some adjustments with my right insole liner as it was too thick, no big deal. I took my liners out of my old Kinvara 2's and put them in my Gel-Neo 33. Laced them up today and went for a 4 miler. This is where the "WOWZER" kicked in. Super comfortable from the heel to the front foot. I noticed my stride today seemed longer and cushioning on landing was incredible. It didn't stop there like in some shoes that give good cushioning but no response when pushing back off. This is where I noticed the Asics Gel-Neo33 took me to another level in running that I haven't experienced before. I'm a big runner at 6'6 235lbs. and going from the Saucony Kinvara 2 to the Asics Gel-Neo33 is like going from a Ford Focus to a Lexus. This shoe gives you wider forefoot cushioning and you can feel the shoe absorb the shock from heel all the way back up to the forefoot with an incredible response and push off. Honestly one of the best runs I've ever had today in these shoes. Highly recommend. Awesome shoe.

i've been running for 5 years now i've had Adidas(adizero, x-trainers), Nikes(shocks, pegasus),Reeboks and Asics by far this is the best shoe ive own.hands down, no questions asked. broken in 3 hours just walking. went for a little jog and it was like i'been wearing this shoe for months, simply the best ride for your feet. recommend 110%
