Love these shoes

Bought them from REI, and absolutely love them. While I am definitely no tri-athlete nor triathalon participant, I use them as my go to sneaker for running/gym/physical pursuits. I've used Nike Free Run's, Asics, various New Balance, and Saucony's. By far, I absolutely love the feel of these shoes and they don't leave me aching or wishing for an insole. I slightly overpronate and these shoes are perfect for me. I'm 5'10 and 170lbs, with a natural mid-foot strike. So the Zoots worked out great.

Welcome the Spring/Summer 2013 range. The legendary GT-2000 Series Returns this year with a complete back-to-basics approach seeing the new edition re-engineered offering a breath a fresh air to runners, giving out improvements in cushioning, stability whilst retaining the same core features which makes this series so well loved. Structural changes include a drop in heel-to-toe differential from 11mm to 10mm, which won't make any real difference to your running cycle, but allows the shoe to be lighter and encourage a mildly more natural running strike. Dynamic Duomax replaces the previous technology as a dual-density midsole material which offers a greater level of compression set, offering improved support, with less weight underfoot. The SoLyte Midsole Material is also expanded to cover the entire base of the foot from heel to forefoot offering a massive improvement in comfort and cushioning, which you'll feel through the cycle in every soft step. The volume of ASICS 'GEL' is also increased and spread flatter in the heel, for improved stability and allows the the heel-strike to disperse shock-energy over a larger surface area, enhancing efficiency. Hot Melt Overlays also offer extremely lightweight support to the upper for reduced irritation and the all new Guidance Trusstic System replaces Space Trusstic technology to incorporate Guidance Line better and greatly improve flexibility in the midfoot, making it less rigid and helping smooth your stride. All these changes and fantastic improvements in cushioning and stability, and still! The shoe comes weighing less than the GT-2170, a superb acheivement.

MInimalist shoes for the rest of us

I have to be up front, I don't subscribe to the minimalist epidemic that is going around the running world right now. However there is something to be said for getting away from the more traditional running shoe. A normal running shoe is big and bulky and doesn't really encourage an efficient gait. However you can, like everything else in the world, have too much of a good thing, which is the case with these extreme minimalist shoes that are out on the market right now. These shoes have a low drop (difference in height between the back and the front of the shoe) to encourage a more efficient mid-foot strike and have 11mm of padding, which new independant research has shown is about perfect. So, enough of all that on to the shoe. Over the past nine months I have had 2 pairs (technically the original GoRuns) of these and am just starting on these (GoRun 2s) now. I run about 100mi a month and I get about 4 months out of them, which is about typical for any running shoe. I love the fit and feel of these as they are designed as a sockless running shoe. As a triathlete who doesn't wear socks during races up to the 70.3 distance (half-marathon run) these are perfect and I don't get any blisters at all. The original Go Runs had a more pronouced "bump" under the arch and if the truth be told I really liked that as while running it provided an excellent arhc support for your foot, the Go Run 2s have a less pronouced "bump" but seem to provide pretty good support for the foot. The soles of the shoes of the original GoRuns is where I have my only complaint, to keep the shoes so lightweight there is hardly any "traditional" rubber in the sole but most of the sole is made of the foam padding called "resalyte" which seems to wear slightly faster than the harder rubber used for the "impulse sensors" that are made of more traditional rubber material. Overall, though these are an excellent shoe that has replaced my racing flats as well as my tradional running shoes.

Best running shoe I've ever owned

I love these, I love the way they fit and feel, they are a joy to run it. I've run in Asics, Brooks, Nike. And though I thought all of them were great, these are the best feeling shoes I've ever run in, they are also by far the best deal. Which means I can replace my shoes more often for less money. Some people complain about the midfoot bump. They are practically non existent in the Go Run 2, but I kind of wish they were more prominent, so I'll likely try the original Go Run's next.

I have wide feet and these running shoes fit. They are lightweight and I like the color and style.. I ran two miles and they didn't bother my feet at all

Buy a size up!

When these came in I was so excited because they look AWESOME and I was really hoping to improve my jumps with them; however, when I tried them on they were much too small for me. I'm going to reorder the next half size.
