Product Description

The Inov8 319 trail shoe is a lightweight running shoe for the off-road enthusiast. The 319 provides high levels of cushioning and comfort for those long, technical trail runs, and with the added benefit of the fascia-band, the shoe aids propulsion efficiency of your running gait. With lateral and medial posting to provide torsional support and 4 Arrow Shoc-ZoneTM under foot protection, the RocliteTM 319 is the most supportive and comfortable ride for trail running produced by inov-8. This shoe is ideal for heavier runners and a great choice for road runners switching to trail running for the first time who are used to overly cushioned trainers. Fascia Band - This band is a replication of the plantar fascia ligament to increase propulsion efficiency and reduce fatigue in the foot. Meta-Flex - this boot incorporates a meta-flex groove which is anatomically aligned in front of the metatarsal heads to provide a natural fore foot flex and protection whilst running. Endurance Last - A generous fitting last giving you a comfortable fit for training and long distances Recommended Activities - Mountain Running - Mountain Marathon - Trail Running - Mixed Trail and Road running - Long distance walking and trail walking - Nordic Walking Sticky Rubber Compound - this shoe uses Inov8's exclusive sticky rubber compund which has been specially developed using climbing rubber technology. This rubber optimizes grip in wet conditions, however the trade off is it wears down quicker. Weight - 319gms (UK8) Ideal for trail, ultra light walking and mountain running.

5Great for Long Trail Runs
By Run2Eat!!
I received the 319s for Christmas and have only ran on single track trails (hard packed dirt; mud; rocks). I have been running in size 13 Saucony Xodus Progrids; love them but they are a little tight for my foot but have a great feel for technical trails. The main reason for purchasing the 319s was that I have a wide foot and really need a 13.5 trail shoe. My road trainers are New Balance 993s, size 13 2E width and they fit perfect. The 319s do not come in 13.5 but the size 13 is roomier in the toe box which makes them perfect for trail runs exceeding 15 miles. The tread/lugs are aggressive and do take up a bit of mud which can weight the shoe down. My 1st run was a 10 mile trail run and they felt great no break-in required. Great support and cushion without losing too much feel for the trail. Really bought these for 50K and above trail races if I need speed and a more responsive trail feel I will wear my Saucony Xodus Progrids with Vibram soles; but for shorter races. The laces are very thin for quick lacing..the only problem is that even with double knotting they tend to loosen up; but this may because they are new and need a bit more dirt and spit on them to keep them tight. Purchased at RunningWarehouse for $59. Use the coupon code FB15D to save another 15%. [...]. Well worth a shot if you are looking for a good trail shoe for longer distance or if you are transitioning from road to trail. I will add more to this review as I put more miles on them.Runner Data: Height 6'3" Weight: 210 Running since 1989. Run 50-70 miles a week depending on time of year.

2Poor friction
By Nelly
Very slippery on wet rock, concrete and other hard surfaces - bordering on the dangerous in fact. A real shame as apart from that they fit well.

4Super comfy and roomy
By phun-key
Don't think these are available anymore, so the price above should be enough to try them. I bought them for a 3 week trip to South America and spent long days on city streets and rural trails/rocky areas and they were great. Big toe box for comfortable fit, but can be snugged up easily with the laces.....which I must say is one of the best lacing shoes I've ever owned - easy zippy pull and they are locked in.One downside - breathability. They started to get a little funky after just a couple months, so ventilate well when not wearing to keep them fresh.
